The Czech champions, Herbadent SJM, qualified quite easily for the final of Chance Czech Open and have a chance to fight for their fifth consecutive triumph at this prestigious tournament.
The Czechs started the game against Red Ants from Switzerland actively and got into a promising lead quite quickly. After four minutes they were already leading by three goals. Their opponents corrected the score a bit, but not even the substituting Czech goalie of Rychenberg, Jana Christiánová, could prevent Herbadent from scoring more goals.
In the second half, Anet Jarolímová added two more goals of Herbadent and the game was decided. Red Ants balanced the play, as regards control of the ball, but they lacked quality in the offensive part. At times it seemed that the Swiss players didn't know what to do with the ball.
"It's a great advantage that our squad is large and includes high-quality players, so we played with three balanced lines until the half of the quarterfinal game, and now we can keep on substituting individual players, so we still have some energy," Zuzana Svobodová explained her team's assets.
"The decisive moments of the match were the quick goals, because then, when we were a bit more tired, we could defend rather calmly and just guarded the result. Before the tournament we played a friendly game against Red Ants, in which we lost, but thanks to that we knew this time what to expect, and the opponents might have underestimated us as well. Moreover, we didn't do individual mistakes, which we usually cannot avoid," added the defender, who has already scored twice at Chance Czech Open, with a smile on her face.
