The women's elite preliminary groups are alredy over and the most successful teams were the Prague teams of Herbadent and Bohemians. None of the teams lost a single game and with thirteen points they qualified straight to the quarterfinals from the first positions in their groups. Also Vítkovice and the Swiss vice-champions from Winterthur will avoid playing the round of 16 games.
The Czech champions from team Herbadent didn't concede a single goal today. First, they beat Vítkovice 5:0 and then Nemšová from Slovakia 3:0. The Slovak champions also lost 0:4 to Alunda and they haven't succeeded at all at Chance Czech Open so far. They didn't score a goal in their five games, finished on the last position in group A table without a point, and tonight they are going to play their round of 16 game against the Swedish team KAIS Mora.
Swedish teams yet have to fight for the quarterfinals. Pixbo IBK thrashed Alunda 9:2 and tied their game against Dalen (2:2), but in the table they remained one point behind the second team of Vítkovice, who benefited from the 2:2 draw against Dalen.
In the other group, today Bohemians defeated Pixbo IBF 5:1 and received one point for a 2:2 draw with Winterthur, who, on the other hand, beat Liberec 3:1 and together with the team from Prague qualified for the quarterfinal directly. From the Swedish teams in group B, the most successful was RIG Umeå, who tied their morning game against Pixbo IBF at 4:4 and defeated KAIS Mora 4:0. The Czech team from Liberec was even more successful. They won a point for their 2:2 draw against KAIS Mora and qualified for the tonight's round of 16 game from the third position.
