Three games, three victories. That is the summary of how successful have the players of Vítkovice a Bohemians Prague been so far at the tournament. Both teams did not hesitate in their games at all and with nine points they are in the lead of their group tables..
Today, Vítkovice defeated the Swedish Pixbo IBK 4:2, the Slovak champions from Nemšová 4:0 and the Swedish Alunda 3:1. However, tomorrow they will play two more difficult games. They will face the Czech champions, Herbadent Praha, and the Swedish team of Dalen. Both the teams did not lose today either, but their mutual game ended with a 3:3 draw, and therefore the they are right behind Vítkovice in the table.
The Czech champions from Herbadent defeated two Swedish opponents before the encounter with Dalen. They beat Alund as well as Pixbo IBK 4:3. Dalen thrashed the Slovak team of Nemšová 6:0 and their compatriots from Alunda 7:1. The last group A result to be added is the victory of Pixbo IBK over Nemšová 5:0.
The group B has been dominated by Bohemians players so far. After winning 2:1 against the Swedish team KAIS Mora, they fought hard to win by 1:0 in a tight game against Liberec, and in the end they defeated the Swedish team RIG Umeå 4:2.
Another successful group B team are the Swiss vice-champions, Red Ants from Winterthur. They beat Pixbo IBF as well as KAIS Mora 4:0 and they lost their only points after a goalless draw with RIG Umeå.
After today's programme, the third place in group B belongs to Liberec, who won 4:2 against RIG Umeå and 1:0 against Pixbo IBF.
On the other hand, the three Swedish teams KAIS Mora, RIG Umeå and Pixbo IBF remain in the second half of the table with one point only. Mora and Pixbo received one point for a 3:3 draw in their mutual game.
