Liberec, Tatran and Falun successful at Podvinný mlýn

The morning series of men's elite games in the arena at Podvinný mlýn offered three attractive encounters to the spectators. Two purely Czech battles and a Swiss-Swedish match between Zürich and Falun. The game between Chodov and Liberec ended in a 2:0 win by the team from Northern Bohemia, after goals by Martin Blažek and Teemu Tuhkanen. Therefore, thanks to the three points, Liberec remains on the third position in the group AA table. Chodov is without a point after two games. In the next battle, the third team of the Czech Extraliga, Mladá Boleslav, faced the reigning Czech champion Tatran Střešovice. Both teams provided the audience at Podvinný mlýn with loads of goals; the spectators could see a total of nine goals. In the end, Tatran Střešovice celebrated a 5:4 victory and in the table they have four points so far, while the players of Mladá Boleslav are still waiting for their success. The evening game between Zürich and Falun concluded the elite series of games at Podvinný mlýn with a win of the Swedish team by 6:2. One goal of the team from Zürich was scored also by the Czech national team player Radim Cepek. However, his team couldn't keep up with the quarterfinalist of the past Swedish Superligan season. |
