Sirius without hesitation against Future    (12. 8. 2010, florbal.cz)
The teams Future and Sirius IBK have already played their first game at Chance Czech Open as well. Their encounter concluded the morning programme of men's elite group A. The game between the Swedish winner of Czech Open and the best team of the junior category was very attractive for the spectators and no wonder that the stands in the Sparta hall were gradually becoming full.

Both teams proved that they definitely didn't underestimate the summer preparatory period and started at a rapid pace. The match was also full of opportunities and combinations and therefore nobody minded that the first goal came in the thirteenth minute only. Both teams had good chances before this goal as well, but they lacked accuracy in their final passes as well as shots.

The opening goal by Sirius was scored by Fredrik Sandkvist, who scored with a mid-distance shot right below the goalie's hand. The equalizer came in less than four minutes, when Petr Lacko scored from an ideal pass and utilized the longer pressure. But Future didn't celebrate for a long time; Rob was sent to a penalty box.

Sirius didn't convert the power-play and the Czech team survived the pressure from the beginning of the second half as well. Then they had a chance to go into the lead in the twenty-fourth minute, when Widh was awarded a penalty. But the Swedes added another goal and apparently didn't intend to lose the lead. Moreover, the Czech team started to make mistakes in the defence and allowed the Swedes to increase their lead.

Another Future's power play didn't bring the desired effect either, but shortly afterwards, Jan Natov reduced the score with a deflected shot. And only a while later, Future played yet another power play and the excited team converted it and tied the score. However, the Czech fans could enjoy the goal for a few seconds only. Johan Eriksson shot from almost the half-line and sent his team into the lead again. Sirius then added the last goal with half a minute remaining in the game. The final score was 5:3.
