The fourth representative of Czech floorball in the women's elite category is the team from Liberec. Crazy Girls from the city overlooked by the mountain of Ještěd ended on the unpopular fourth position in the past Extraliga season, but from all appearances it seems that it will be extremely difficult only to retain this position in the new season.
The team that absolutely dominated the Czech women's floorball at the times of Bursová Nečásková, Shamanina, Bartošová, Svobodová or the Chybová sisters, has been going through an alternation of generations for a rather long time already. So far, they did not lack quality, because the young players had enough experience even from the international scene and were well supported by other names as well.
What is going to be the situation like this year, when the team applies to play at Chance Czech Open with a squad comprising only ten players and two goalies? Is it possible to fight against the top teams of the world with such a squad? Adding another success to the medal positions from 2003 and 2004 seems rather unlikely. The first opportunity to see the team of Liberec in action is on Thursday at noon at Děkanka in a match against the Swedish team RIG Umeå.
