Chodov, as a team from Prague, can utilize the good knowledge of local floorball courts at Chance Czech Open. Moreover, for the first time they will play at the tournament as the semifinalist of the past Extraliga season. In Chodov, the previous season is considered the best in their history.

At Chance Czech Open, Chodov managed to get as far as to the men's elite quarterfinals, where they lost against the Swiss team of Wiler three years ago. In the non-elite men's category, however, Chodov reached the third position in 2005. Last year, Chodov was eliminated in the round of 32 already after losing to Bulldogs from Brno.

Liberec has already recorded a triumph in the men's category; in 2006 they beat Znojmo in the final. Last year they made it one step further than Chodov, but in the round of 16 they did not manage to beat Mladá Boleslav.

In the Czech top division, Liberec recorded their biggest success in 2008, when they finished on the fifth position. In the past two seasons, Liberec ended on the seventh position.

In the encounters with the foreign as well as Czech competition at Chance Czech Open, the team from Liberec can rely on the productive scorer Petr Salát, who has returned to the club after one year spent in Switzerland. The key players of the North-Bohemian selection definitely include also Lukáš Nesměrák, the defender with experience from the national team, and the goalie with great reflexes, Ivan Ponomarev.

On the other hand, Chodov can rely on several national team players in their squad. The key figures include the talented goalie Jan Barák, the Extraliga's most productive player Matěj Jendrišák, the fearless defender Adam Štegl and newly also the quick forward Martin Zozulák.
