In our introduction of the women's elite teams we are now eventually moving to group B. Like the group A, it consists of two Czech teams and three representatives of Swedish floorball, and this group also includes the only Swiss team in this category, Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur. The traditional club has been playing in the Swiss top division for 25 years already.
This year, the "Red Ants" ended on the second position in the Swiss league again, and now they are coming to Chance Czech Open to check their form before the EC qualification. Last year they succeeded in the qualification and at the end of this August their situation will be even easier – all that remains to be done is to win the two-game encounter with the Finnish Cup winner, NST-Lappeenranta.
The club with eleven Swiss titles in their history is coming to Chance Czech Open for the third time only. Their best position so far is the last year's third place. So, we will see how the team is going to succeed in their third participation. The Czech goalie, Jana Christianová, will have an opportunity for a good start here. She has transferred to Switzerland from Finland. As regards goals, the team relies on currently one of the best floorball players, Andrea Hofstetter, who recorded 43 points in the past season.
