Children of the Revolution    (16. 8. 2007, Western Australian Daily)
The Revolution Sharks have lost their second match on Sparta's Centre Court this afternoon, 1:4. A solitary goal from Jan Juris was not enough against SKP Nymburk.

Just as the crowd began to chant, "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!!" the Czechs managed their first against the run of play and didn't look back. The goal from Juris made the score 1:2, but the Sharks squandered a few good chances and the game eventually slipped away from them.

Perhaps the fluorescent shirts of the girls from the University of Tartu team were a distraction for the boys? Or perhaps the bright lights of Czech TV??

Both Jan Juris and Alain Othenin-Girard suffered under the Czech's physical game, with Jan rolling an ankle - but playing through the pain - and Alain wearing a Czech elbow in the mouth and playing through the pain with some ice blocks in his mouth!! (The Swede must have learnt something about toughness during his stay in sunny Perth and the Swiss certainly wore much worse in the pub crawls of not-so-sunny Melbourne.)

Still, the Sharks are in with more than a fighting chance to play on the weekend, with 2 more fixtures tomorrow." class="textInput">
