The Czech Open DREAM - Day 2
(18. 8. 2007, Western Australian Daily)
Fortuna International Floorball Party, featuring bars from Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and of course, the Czech Republic with it's famous beer points. Come and join the atmosphere dressed in the colour of your country and enjoy the International fun while watching the sun set over the crystal blue waters of the Vltava. Hezky den a jeste lepsi vecer na International Floorball Party!!" class="textInput">Now widely known as Zlute Lazne Day, the sun slowly began to shine on day 2 of the Czech Open. The promised rain did not come, and some of the budding floorball flowers have already opened up and are lining up for first place on Sunday. Some former Red Ants were spotted in Reisefüchse uniforms and their new team for 2007 has finished 3rd in their Women's FG group. Unfortunately, this wasn't quite enough to see them through to the weekend finals. Unlike their English speaking counterparts, the North American All-Stars, Australia's Revolution Sharks didn't find themselves scheduled in the finals, so they were content to celebrate their first appearance at the Czech Open down at the Australian Beach Party at Zlute Lazne. Waking up with beach sand in their jocks will have them thinking fondly of home. The music and djs kept the happy people dancing into the early hours of Day 3 and some were seen heading home on with the first light of day. The mix of locals and international visitors was great and even the Czech National Australian Rules Football team was in attendance. Dekanka's beauties are looking good to reach the Sunday finals in the Female Elite, while well known Czech floorball names will challenge Team Mroz from Finland in the Junior play-offs. Tatran Stresovice, FBC Pepino Ostrava, Bulldogs Brno will join the Wizards and Mlady Boleslav in what looks just like a normal season play-off series in the Fortuna Extraliga, but with an international guest. Best of luck and happy floorballing, to all the teams that remain in the play-offs and we hope that you can all find good reason to celebrate at the Fortuna International Floorball Party, featuring bars from Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and of course, the Czech Republic with it's famous beer points.
