Hey, it’s here again! Another floorball summer has already started & it’s full speed ahead. This time it is going to be in the spirit of a FLOORBALL SUMMER OF LOVE & it will be a full bouquet of floorball, friendship & mutual happiness. The 15th year of the floorball festival “FORTUNA CZECH OPEN 2008” & the “hot” summer in Prague are ready for a grandiose start to another colourful floorball season. Let’s enjoy a shared sports atmosphere & overwhelm Prague with floorball flowers of victory, triumph & joy. Every year the world’s best teams showcase floorball at this famous August tournament. You can be sure that again this year the participating teams are exceptional. You can join the crowd & cheer for your favourites, whether it’s Pixbo Wallenstam, SSV Helsinki, Tatran Střešovice, SV Wiler Ersigen, IBK Dalen or one of the countless others. Anyway, floorball will come to take over Prague again. It will bloom & spread all over the city, as it’s being played in 13 sports halls with a record number of teams competing for the final wreath. 224 teams from 19 fabulous floorballing countries are going introduce themselves on the court! News for all is an invitation to the Freebandy Clash Unlimited. During the weekend a mini-arena for a new dimension of floorball will be presented in front of the T-Mobile Arena. At the finest festival of floorball joy you are also going to meet the fans of the holey ball from all corners of the globe: Europe, North America & also - for the first time – Australia!! In honour of a premiere performance of floorball players from the country of kangaroos, we have prepared an Australian beach party. On Friday evening, several music groups will play at the “beach” at Žluté lázně, right on the Vltava River & everything that makes a great Aussie Beach Party will be there. The Finnish music group, Komposti sound that the players of popular team IBK Finnsta have brought with them to Prague, will be the part of the tournament program too. At Saturday’s tournament party, you may be lucky enough to meet such personalities as Tero Tiitu, Mathias Hofbauer, Radim Cepek, Anders Carlbom or Peter Runnestig… & you will have a chance to talk, laugh or dance with them. So put a flower in your hair & have a groovy time as the summer sun sets… the night before the finest flowers bloom at the finals at T-Mobile arena!! In mid-August, already for the 15th time, a floorball summer will take place in Prague. You’ll be able to fill this time with great sporting experiences & leave with many new friendships formed.
